Chung Metal supplies Stainless Steel 310S Bars and Rods, a low-carbon variant of 310, designed for better weldability and resistance to sensitization. Produced at our facility in Da Nang, Vietnam, 310S bars are ideal for fabrication and welding in high-temperature environments. Our 310S products are supplied to industries needing long-term oxidation resistance, thermal stability, and reliable mechanical performance. 310S has 24–26% chromium, 19–22% nickel, and carbon ≤ 0.08%. It provides comparable high-temperature properties to 310 but better weldability. Mechanical properties are tensile strength of 520–750 MPa, yield strength ~205 MPa, and elongation ~40%. It is non-magnetic and demonstrates superior creep resistance. The reduced carbon reduces carbide precipitation during welding and consequently corrosion threats.
