Chung Metal offers Stainless Steel 317L Bars and Rods, a low-carbon variant of 317, possessing outstanding corrosion resistance and enhanced weldability. Produced in Da Nang, Vietnam, 317L is extensively utilized in welded structures exposed to aggressive chemical environments. Our rods and bars come in multiple forms and sizes of custom-cut length. Equipped with the latest testing and inspection standards, Chung Metal achieves high strength and international quality compliance.
317L contains 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, 3–4% molybdenum, and carbon ≤ 0.03%. It provides tensile strength ~500–620 MPa, yield strength ~170–275 MPa, and elongation ≥ 40%. Due to its low carbon content, it prevents intergranular corrosion after welding. 317L is non-magnetic and maintains strength in high-pressure and high-temperature service.
