Chung Metal produces and exports Stainless Steel 316L Bars and Rods that exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, especially to chlorides. 316L is a low-carbon form of 316 stainless steel with excellent weldability and less tendency for intergranular corrosion. We produce 316L in round, square, and hex bars from our plant in Da Nang, Vietnam, and these are suitable for use in marine, food processing, and chemical industries. 316L has 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and ≤ 0.03% carbon. It has tensile strength of 485–620 MPa, yield strength of 170–275 MPa, and elongation of ≥ 40%. Low carbon content ensures the material to be excellent weldable along with lower carbide precipitation risks. 316L is not magnetic and has good resistance against pitting and crevice corrosion in chlorides.
