Chung Metal Manufacturer & Suppliers in Da Nang, Vietnam offers high-quality Aluminium 5052 forgings for industries demanding lightweight, corrosion-proof components. 5052 is a magnesium-alloyed aluminium with excellent formability and corrosion properties. Our forging plants allow us to form intricate shapes with greater mechanical quality. We manufacture forgings of different dimensions, with close tolerances and surface finishes appropriate for marine, automotive, and structural applications. Customers like the fact that we can provide certified aluminium forgings with uniform properties, supported by strict quality control and timely shipment.
Aluminium 5052 is an alloy with ~2.5% magnesium, ~0.25% chromium, small quantities of manganese and silicon, and the rest aluminium. In annealed (O) condition, it has tensile strength of ~193 MPa, yield strength ~138 MPa, and elongation ~12–18%. Hardness is fairly low (Hv ~50–70). The density is ~2.68 g/cm³. The alloy has high corrosion resistance (particularly to marine atmospheres), moderate strength, good fatigue life, and high ductility and formability.

Aluminum 5052 offers excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, good weldability, and formability. It's lightweight, durable, resistant to stress cracking, and performs well in marine and industrial environments, making it ideal for custom forgings.
Aluminum 5052 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications due to its relatively low melting point and poor high-temperature strength. Alloys like 7075 or 2011 are better suited for such applications.
Aluminum 5052 has excellent workability, making it suitable for forging. Its low-to-medium strength, good corrosion resistance, and formability allow for ease in shaping, reducing the risk of cracking during forging.
Aluminium 5052 forgings are widely applied to marine structures, ship hull fittings, fuel tanks, and pressure vessels because of their corrosion resistance in seawater. They are applied to automotive parts, brackets, housings, and structural components requiring lightweight and moderate strength. 5052 is used for ease of forming and finishing in architectural and marine hardware. It is employed in electronic enclosures, chassis, and recreational equipment as well. Due to its weldability and fatigue property, 5052 forgings are important in aerospace secondary structures, fuel system components, and structural purposes generally.
